CINEMA FRANÇAIS is a mini-showcase and a glimpse into the world of French cinema. In addition to the beloved cult films, it mainly presents the latest and most interesting of contemporary French cinema. Bon appétit!

Paris, November 1975. The appeal hearing of far-left Jewish activist Pierre Goldman is about to begin. Goldman, sentenced to life in prison for four armed robberies, one of which resulted in the deaths of two women, denies the murder charge. The massively high-profile trial will make Goldman a romantic figure and hero of the intellectual left, even as his relationship with his young lawyer Georges Kiejman sours. An eternal provocateur proclaiming his ideals, the elusive and mercurial Goldman throws his own trial into chaos and risks a death sentence. The Goldman case paints a psychopathological portrait of a militant revolutionary, but also of a society plagued by patterns of racism and injustice that are highly contagious even today.
