Jan Kudrna graduated in Art History with a focus on cultural and technical monuments and Cultural History at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. He worked as the head of the specialist department at the Gallery of Fine Arts in Ostrava. He is the curator of the Robert Runták Collection and was also involved in the founding of the Telegraph Gallery, where he served as chief curator until 2021. He is currently an expert on Czech contemporary art for the Artefin Fund. For the past twenty years, he has been involved in independent curatorial activities, particularly in the field of painting. He focuses primarily on Czech painting from the 1980s to the present, as well as European painting from the last two decades. He collaborates with Trafo Gallery, Bold Gallery, Etcetera Auctions, and Kvalitář Gallery, among others.
