In the Contemporary Art Collecting lecture series you will learn from successful and emerging collectors or curators and experts in contemporary art investment what impulses led them to become interested in the contemporary art market. They will reveal how they build or help build their collections, and what their criteria are for selecting specific works. The lecture series is aimed at the complete layman with an interest in art, as well as collectors who are puzzling over how to evaluate their collection or create a remarkable and unique collection.

The lecture will be given by gallerist Tomáš Umrian.

She had a particular success at Frieze Masters London, where she presented the iconic conceptual artist Stan Filk - one of the most important representatives of the neo-avant-garde in Central Europe.

As a curator and gallerist, Tomáš Umrian focuses on long-term collaboration with artists, conceptually strong projects and the promotion of work that reflects social, historical and philosophical contexts. The gallery's key artists include Lucia Tallová, who has successfully established herself on the international scene, including participation in the Lyon Biennale and inclusion in prestigious collections.
