Over the course of a few days, seven young people experience events that will radically affect their future lives. Petr, a radio presenter at a small Prague radio station, breaks up with his long-time girlfriend Hanka. The neurotic doctor Ondřej, who has been haunting the girl for years with his intrusive attention, wants to win her for himself. Ondřej's wife Lenka, however, refuses to admit that the father of her children could betray their neat little bourgeois life. The two couples' fates are also interfered with by Vesna, a fragile Macedonian barmaid looking for her lost father in Bohemia, Robert, a cynical manipulator, and Jakub, a devoted marijuana lover. The contrast to the fates of lonely young people trying more or less successfully to find themselves is formed by Hanča's settled parents and a group of Japanese tourists eager to meet a "typical" Czech family... The stories of loners in the midst of the crowd, who feel helplessly dragged by a vicious fate inside their economically comfortable lives, are told by the authors in a tragicomic position.¨
