In his more than twenty years in the rum world, he has accumulated many unforgettable and unique experiences, which he is always happy to discuss with rum enthusiasts. As a global ambassador, he is currently dedicated to premium Peruvian Millonario rums and their development.
The beginnings of Mario's amazing career journey with rums surprisingly started in Prague. Mario has always been and is proud of his Latin American roots, but life has also taken him to many other culturally different countries. He grew up in France and spent many years in the Czech Republic. Here he studied and worked - salsa lovers still remember the legendary dance parties in the bar on Novotný lávka, which were Mario's creation. In Prague he married and started a family, with whom he moved to Panama in 2000. Here Mario's professional connection with rums came to full fruition. As director of duty free at the Tocumen International Airport, he oversaw this category of spirits, among others. He also had a wonderful ten-year adventure with the Zacapa brand. His great passion for rums has not waned during this time and today he serves as the global ambassador for one of the most popular rums, Peru's Millonaria. He is in charge of the overall business development of this premium brand.
